Prior to dedicating her commercial practice to working with and for music (2021-present), Sayoko built her multicated career as a creative director and designer for brand experiences (2012-2022) and collaborated on set as a production designer for fashion campaigns and editorial (2019-2021).

SAYOKO OSADA is a Japanese-born, New York-based artist, stage designer, and creative director building genre-fluid worlds with environments, videos, and music. Her work explores and expresses human experiences around identities, emotions, everyday life, and cultural commentary.

Born and raised in Tokyo, she immigrated to the United States at age 13. Lost in translation, she discovered the power of verbal and nonverbal languages, and studied Architecture at University of Cincinnati. Traversing across industries through noncategorical approach to creations, she has evolved her career by gaining conceptual and pragmatic understanding of architecture, experiential design, art direction, graphic design, production design, video art, 3D filmmaking, and worldbuilding.

Currently, she practices commercially as a creative director and visual artist specializing in worldbuilding with and for music. Founded in 2018 and reimagined in 2022, her creative studio conceptualizes shows, experiences, and identities, and materializes the vision in physical and extended dimensions in collaboration with a wide network of production partners. She has worked with musicians including Charlie Puth, Paperwater, JAUZ, and Viktoria Modesta; brands including Nike, HYPEBEAST, Ivy Park, National Geographic, Watches of Switzerland, American Express, Essence; and communities including Deadfellaz, La Fête du Champagne, and CCNYC.
