Sayoko Osada is an immersive director and production designer with an emphasis on genre-fluid worldbuilding and storytelling  to immerse the audience in the essence and the ineffable.  With her architectural background and audiovisual approach, her work spans varying mediums and scales, including environment, performance, and video.

Based in New York with a global network of collaborators, she has directed and designed numerous live, experiential, and commercial productions, working with leading artists and brands. Clients include Nike, Coachella, Jimmy Kimmel, Charlie Puth, HYPEBEAST, Paperwater, Viktoria Modesta, and Beyoncé.

As one of the few female creative directors of color in the live entertainment industry, she is committed to cultivating more diverse creative fields through collaboration and mentorship.
