NIKE THERMASPHERE

OVERVIEW

Thermoregulation helps maintain the body’s core temperature at 98.6°F despite external changes. Nike’s Cold-Weather Collection reduces thermoregulatory effort during workouts. To showcase its effectiveness in summer, we used multi-sensory digital media and created a below-freezing gym to simulate real conditions.

Heat-reactive invitations introduced thermoregulation by changing color when touched. At the event, guests explored a museum-like space on thermoregulation, interacted with color-changing light sculptures, and viewed their heat silhouettes via a thermal camera.

Hexagons, inspired by the fabric’s design and ice molecules, shaped modular displays using perforated metal to emphasize breathability. The Cold-Weather Gym, chilled with industrial cooling and a velour ceiling, featured glacier-like surfaces projection-mapped with alpine imagery to highlight the gear's functionality.
