I conceptualized and directed GORDO’s Coachella set on Sahara stage. Inspired by propaganda graphics and maximizing the Sahara stage’s screen architecture, we created a statement-focused visual performance that engulfed the audience in GORDO’s bold and fierce emergence in his new stage name.

LIVE VISUALS, DIRECTOR / ANIMATOR / EDITOR

For a non-profit film and emerging technology festival, Filmgate Interactive, a Miami-based electornic duo Paperwater brought me in to make 360-degree dome projection live visuals for their album listening experience. With the canvas being 78-ft diameter circle magnificently hovering above the audience, I conceptualized the looping visuals to interact with the architecture in motion that would help make the experience transcendental.  As the worldbuilding motif across all scenes, I custom designed 3-d heads of Daygee and Eddy inspired by Afrofuturist iconography, with exchanging brainwaves integrated into their instruments.

For Charlie Puth’s “Light Switch” performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Ellen, I conceptualized, designed, and executed dual shows inspired by post-breakup memories.  For Jimmy Kimmel Live, the LED screen became an abstract depiction of feelings with pulsating blind visual and floor lamps. The Ellen stage became a surreal home environment whose dimension breaks apart into a void.
