MAC X SEPHORA - ‘ROADS CONVERGE’

Launch Party
Concept, Production Design
2026
An immersive launch event for MAC Cosmetics and Sephora, designed to translate their partnership into a physical world. Set inside a historic 1900s taxi garage in New York, the concept began with a single image: two roads converging — drawn from MAC's own graphic language of black-and-white striping and matte packaging.

That image became the spatial choreography of the entire 10,000-square-foot venue. Black-and-white road lines snaked through the concrete floor, beginning as two separate paths at the entrance and joining into one route that carried guests through a stylized vision of early-1990s New York — highway signage, billboards, a galvanized metal phone booth dispensing lip products, a MAC PRESS newsstand, vintage cars, and a 30-foot curved skyline featuring the Twin Towers and a MAC x Sephora skyscraper.

Rather than reconstructing the city literally, the result was a cinematic afterimage of it — a world suspended somewhere between downtown memory, fashion image, and New York street mythology.
