Sayoko Osada is a designer and art director from Tokyo, practicing in NYC. With belief that the environment is worth a million words, Sayoko creates thematic environments based on identities, emotions, and stories, transporting the audience into the core essence visually and experientially.

Her current practice focuses on translating fashion, music, and sensory experiences into environments. 

Previously, she designed numerous experiential popups in diverse formats while serving as the Art Director + Experiential Design Lead for agencies including Team Epiphany, Bureau Betak, and Giant Spoon. Clients include Nike, Google, Proenza Schouler, Kate Spade, and HBO.

Sayoko has designed award-winning environments in experiential and retail categories, and was selected for VMSD 2017 Designer Dozen Award as one of the 12 up-and-coming retail environments designers under age 35.

Sayoko holds B.S. Architecture from the University of Cincinnati.
